The author's note and
final paper serve as
the final exam for this course. You must complete them in order to
pass the class.
- Write an author's
note to preface your final paper in this class. The author's
note should include the following considerations: Why is your story
great? What did you do well? (Be specific). Imagine what
further research you might do if time permitted (cultural, historical--time
period, objects, interests, location). Also, describe yourself as a writer (style, habits, likes,
dislikes), and explore how that has possibly changed since the beginning of
the course. This essay will serve as the introduction to your final
story and can be informal in tone.
- You will hand in your
author's note and final story at the end of the last class meeting. If you provide me with a
self-addressed stamped envelope, I will mail your author's note and story to you after
reading and grading it.
